Novel real time GPER-based assays to identify substances with endocrine disrupting properties. The brominated flame retardant tetrabromobisphenol S shows significantly lower G protein-coupled receptor modifying activities compared to the widely used tetrabromobisphenol A und tetrachlorobisphenol A.
