Dear Participants of 8th European Congress of Virology, dear Colleagues:
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought unprecedented developments in the field of virology. The global pandemic affected daily life of all people but life of virologists changed in a special way. Many of us transferred our usual area of interest to SARS Cov2. Most of us were involved in diagnostics, in sequencing, in sharing information and helping people to cope with fears and confusion.
European Congress of Virology, where the virologists from very various fields will meet, brings to us the opportunity to discuss and compare our experiences from the time of the pandemic. The special session “Virology science during and post-pandemic “ at the first day of the Congress is dedicated to this purpose. The session is planned to be interactive, therefore we kindly ask you to fill in a
short questionnaire regarding your professional experience during Covid 19 time. This should not take more than 10 min. The answers will be collected and analyzed. The results of this survey will be presented at the interactive session. We also encourage every participant who would like to share her/his pandemic experience with ECV audience to send such story to us. We will present some of your stories, we can also show the images or recorded videos. We also invite you to join us at the open discussion during the live session.
